HOUSTON

Updated: Jan 28

We rescued Houston from the yard of someone who called us on 4th of July, from under a debris pile, where she was hiding after just being attacked by several large dogs. It took us a bit to get her out, she was growling and snarling at us, scared to death. Once we got her out she allowed us to pet her, but she was still super fearful. When we got home, it took days for her to come out of the pet carrier we brought her home in. She refused to go potty and wouldn't eat. It took several days to began to gain her trust and come out to take a peek at her new surroundings. She finally ate & she finally went potty - I've never been so excited to see poop. In some time we were able to gain her trust and she became the sweetest little love bug. And with a little more time she warmed up to other dogs. We had her spayed and got her up to date on shots, and that's when we got the best news ever - she had found a new home. Her new sweet mom drove over 8 hours round trip to pick her up. She loves her new home and is living her best life.
